We get part 2 of a clip show.
If you can even believe that.
The episode starts with Ben, in the driveway, trying to glue together the ash tray. While Mike, being supportive as ever, tells him he should just pitch it.
Then Carol comes out asking for help carrying something to which they help.
Two more objects tell their story. First we got Mike’s hat from when he worked at W.O.B. (World of Burgers).
We go through Mike getting the job. He becomes employee of the month. Then gets fired when he takes the blame a couple of times for this girl. Mike lies to his parents about still having the job. They find out when the girl that got Mike fired comes to collect the uniform.
Come to think of it, why does he still have that? Shouldn’t he’ve given it back. I guess the writers just forgot, like they forgot about Ben’s dog.
The parents find out and are disappointed with Mike at first. Then they find out why he was fired and Jason’s proud.
Next, we have the other new item, Romeo and Juliet book, tell it’s story.
We get the story of how Bobby and Carol got together. The english teacher/gym coach asks Carol if she’ll tutor Bobby. She does and they end up taking a liking to each other. Carol alludes to her friends that something sexual happened but nothing did. Then rumors start flying at school. Mike and Eddie get into a fight over it. Carol ends up telling her friends off over them not being surprised nothing actually happened between her and Bobby.
The weird thing is we don’t get a resolution here. The last thing we get is Maggie talking to Carol and saying she should set the record straight. That is it. We don’t get a final scene with Bobby. We did in the actual episode, so why didn’t we hear. They showed everything that happened from Mike’s adventures at Burger World.
We get all the characters finding their stuff outside. Carol finds her Romeo and Juliet book that brought her and Bobby together, and Mike even brings up it did more than Bobby did.
Here I thought we’d finally find out why they broke up but no.
Mike has his teddy bear and hat. Mike decides that Jason just told them they’d get money, so they’d actually clean, which Carol and Ben agree with.
Carol and Mike go inside. Ben’s looking through his old stuff and comes across a deck of Garbage Pail Kids Cards. He makes a really bad joke of even with them being Garbage Pail Kids, they’re not garbage.
Then Jason comes out and Ben says they don’t want to sell any of it and want to keep it.
It’s hard to believe they don’t want to sell any of that stuff.
Jason’s then wondering why the ash tray is out there. Ben tells him he thought it was because he (Jason) didn’t want it. Jason tells him he actually does like it, even though he doesn’t smoke. It’s gonna go right back on his desk. Ben leaves all happy. But then Jason and the ash tray start talking saying how that was a close one.
So he actually just lying to Ben? Great way to end the episode.
End scene: Jason comes in from the garage and Maggie’s talking to the spice rack arranging them. She says he must think she’s crazy for talking to a spice rack, but he doesn’t think so.
That episode was appalling. Take out all the clips from other episodes and you have a few minutes of actual new material.
And That’s the Point.
